Karachi: Indian Commerce Minister Anand Sharma has said that his country was seeking trade with Pakistan through Mona Bao-hokhrapar border and infrastructure like Wahga Border was required for the trade activities.
The minister who is on visit to Pakistan, said that talks were being held on trade through Mona Bao.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said that India had granted Pakistan Favoured Natiopn Status for trade since 1996.
He said that those negotiations were being held between both the countries regarding reopening of banking channels on both sides of border. He said that State Bank of Pakistan and Reserve Bank of India were in touch in this regard.
The minister said that work on multiple visas was also in process and the government and trade ministry were convinced on issuing multiple business visas.
Answering a question, the minister said he wanted Indian cricket team to visit Pakistan.
