Islamabad: Drug Regularity Authority Ordinance 2012 has been issued. Media reports on Friday said President Asif Ali Zardari issued the ordinance on the advice of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
According to reports, quoting draft of the ordinance a chief executive would be the chairman of the drug agency that would work under the cabinet secretary. Health secretaries of the provinces would be members of the authority.
On going spurious drug scandal that cost lives of several patients in Punjab prompted the government to form the regularity authority .
