Adelaide: Fifth match of the commonwealth series between Sri Lanka and India has ended in a draw at the Adelaide cricket ground on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka, with the help of responsible inning of Dinesh Chandimal set a reasonable target of 236. He scored 81-runs while skipper Mahela Jayawardene and veteran Kumar Sangakkara help him with 43 and 31, respectively.
Chasing to this target, India lost early first wicket of Sachin Tendulkar in sixth over. Then Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina also got out on 118. Then opener Gautam Gambhir and Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni moved towards target but Gambhir again out in nervous nineties in continues two ODI and run out on 91.
But Dhoni was batting responsibly and take the game into the last over. India needed four runs in last ball but Dhoni scored 3 runs on the last ball.
