Mansoor Ijaz is absconder in US: memo tribunal told

Islamabad: Barrister Zafarullah Jamali and Hussain Haqqani’s lawyer Zahiud Bokhari on Friday told the memo commission that according to their knowledge Mansoor Ijaz was wanted by US Supreme Court, as the commission headed by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faez Esa resumed proceedings.

Barrister Jamali said Mansoor Ijaz would not appear in Pakistan High Commission abroad as it was also Pakistan’s jurisdiction. He according to his knowledge Ijaz was also wanted by the US top court.

Qazi Faez Esa asked Jamali to submit document to commission in this regard.

 Mr Bokhari told the commission that Mansoor Ijaz was declared absconder in US therefore he was asking to record his statement outside the country.

Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq told the commission that letter had been written to Blackberry service providing company.
