Indian-backed Congressman tabled resolution on Pakistan’s dismemberment


Karachi: US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher who has tabled a bill in the upper house, seeking self determination for Pakistan’s southwestern province Balochistan, is widely known for his anti-Pakistan and pro-India stance. 
He has been active in promoting anti-Pakistan propaganda and serving Indian interests in the United States.
It was Rohrabacher who recommended top civil award for Pakistani doctor Shakeel Afridi, who helped US to kill Osama bin Laden. Mr Afridi is called a traitor for helping the CIA.
Earlier, US congress committee debated Balochistan situation on Mr Rohrabacher’s suggestion.
The congressman opposed a resolution in support of Pakistan’s democratic institutions in 2009.
In 2008, Mr Rohrabacher had been very active to get passed a resolution on US-India civil nuclear deal.
He had also opposed sail of arms to China and supported a proposal of influencing the United Nations through fund raising.
Mr Rohrabacher had been declaring Mujahedeen as heroes during soviet invasion of Afghanistan and also met former al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and Hizbe-Islami Amer Engineer Gulbadeen Hekmatyar.
He tabled the resolution of Balochistan as  leaders of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan met in Islamabad agreeing to resolve regional problems internally and not accepting foreign pressure.
