Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani chaired a meeting of coalition partners on Monday shortly after he was indicted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in contempt case.
The meeting was attended by leaders of ANP, MQM. PML-Q, including Asfand Yarwali Khan, Dr Farooq Sattar, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and others.
The meeting discussed situation emerging after the Supreme Court proceeding. It agreed to work jointly for political and democratic process.
The leaders said that the alliance would continue working for strengthening of democratic process. The allies also reposed confidence in Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani.
It is to mention here that Asfand Yarwali Khan and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain accompanied the premier in the court while the MQM stayed away.
